•“Supplement” Recommendation

•If you are not meeting the recommended daily intake for a particular nutrient then you will also get a list of foods higher in that nutrient so that you can correct any possible deficiencies.

  1. We will also tell you how much of that food you would need to add to meet 100% of the recommended intake for that nutrient. (Physicians at Exsalus Health & Wellness Center believe that if deficiencies are found in your current diet, then “supplementing” with whole foods is a much safer and healthier way to correct any potential deficiency).

Who will do your analysis and provide your “supplement” recommendations:

Your diet analysis will be performed by Matthew Lederman, MD (see Dr. Lederman’s Bio) and will be determined based on U.S. recommended daily intakes, adequate intakes, and definitely safe intakes (depending on what is being analyzed). Any questions or concerns should be emailed directly to DrLederman@Exsalus.com

*Please note that recommendations are based on available population studies. That means that most people who consume the recommended daily amount of a particular nutrient should not show signs or symptoms of deficiency; however, for a small number of people the recommended daily intake may be too low or too high. As such, these results should be used strictly as a rough estimate of how well you are meeting your nutrition requirements. All specific questions concerning the nutritional adequacy of your diet should be addressed with your personal physician. Having Dr. Lederman analyze your diet does NOT constitute entering into a doctor-patient relationship (you may only become a patient of Dr. Lederman’s after evaluation and written agreement by Dr. Lederman in the clinic). Dr. Lederman and Exsalus Health & Wellness Center are not liable for anything you choose to do or not do with the information you receive from the Nutrient Assessment. If you are a child, pregnant, or nursing then requirements will be different. If your personal information is unclear and you are not able to be contacted, then daily values will be based on a 2000 calorie daily intake for adults and children 4 years and older (depending on your personal calorie needs, your daily values may be higher or lower). Finally, diets for most people vary from day to day and as a result nutrient requirements not met on one day may be met on another day.
